Winchmore Hill Area Guide
Winchmore Hill is a lovely tree lined suburb in Enfield. Winchmore Hill Green is referred to as The Green and has various restaurants, pubs and independent shops. Accessible open spaces in Winchmore Hill include Grovelands Park, which is a beautiful wooded park with an ornamental lake in the centre, playground area and a café. Also easily accessible is the large sprawling Trent Park and Broomfield Park. Winchmore Hill has varied architectural styles of properties including Edwardian, with some earlier weather board and flat fronted cottages. Most of the properties are later 1920 and 1930s houses. The most expensive Road is Broad Walk which leads off The Green. Here you will find large detached mansions built around the 20s.
Situated close to The Green is Winchmore Hill BR station where trains run into Moorgate in 27 minutes via Finsbury Park and Highbury and Islington on the Victoria Line where you are connected to the underground.
Excellent local primary and secondary schools are situated near Winchmore Hill, including Eversley Primary School, Keble School for Boys and Palmers Green High School for Girls.
